Saturday in Houston...

As anticipated, we slept in this morning. After grabbing a quick bite to eat for lunch nearby, we hopped on the Metrorail again for the short ride over to Hermann Park and spent the afternoon at the zoo. Given how K tours museums, I should have anticipated how long this afternoon might be. We were there for nearly 4 hours...and it was warm. So, I was a bit grumpy at times. (Note to self, I definitely need to factor in the heat when I choose a wedding dress.)

Zoo = children. Lots of them. Just another reminder (as if we need one) that we are *not* ready for that anytime soon.

K's cousin met us at the zoo and spent a couple of hours with us there. He hadn't seen her in years, so it was a great opportunity for them to get together.
More pictures from the day are here.

We got back to the hotel in the late afternoon and I crashed out for a couple of hours...the heat and the walking took it's toll, I guess. When I finally got up, we walked over to a small sushi place across from the hotel for dinner.

The game tomorrow is at about 1:30, so we should be back to Austin by early evening. That should give us a little time to settle back in and get ready for another busy week ahead.
