Variety...

Variety is the spice of life, right? Well, I tend to favor consistency. K is the more spontaneous, adventurous one in our relationship, whereas I crave stability. (Which is part of the reason that the past few months have been a challenge for me to deal with.)

One area though that I do indeed need some variety is with work. I cannot handle the revolving door of clients for therapy hour after therapy hour. That is the key to fatigue and burnout for me. I need to mix it up a bit. This week is turning into the perfect example of that...

Monday - no clients
Tuesday - 2 individual therapy clients (age 3, 16)
Wednesday - 1 individual therapy client (age 4), 1 family therapy client (age 16)
Thursday - neuropsych evaluation for a neighboring county juvenile probation dept. (age 12)
Friday - report writing for Thursday's evaluation
Saturday - test administration for a local test development company

This will also be a good week for me from a financial standpoint. I'll take more of this, please.

I am SO glad to hear that your practice is doing so well this week! I have had a few good weeks, too lately, and they are so nice when they come along. Here's hoping to stability in that work/income flow for you!
