Saturday, November 8: 10 miles (road)
Angela is out of town this weekend, so I was on my own for this morning's run. I decided to start before the masses started at 6am because I wanted to get there early enough to get a parking spot in the lot at Rogue. So, I headed off around 5:40am or so following shortly behind another group that was also getting an early start. But, I quickly passed them and found myself alone - just me, my map, and headlamp. I saw a couple of other girls ahead as we approached the water stop a little over 2 miles in. I loved this route when we first did it during summer training because it is basically 4 short loops (about 2 miles or so) radiating out from the central water stop on Exposition. So, after I finished my first loop, then I saw more people rotating through the water stop, although I was still a loop ahead of everyone. The weather was fantastic, and I surprised myself with a faster pace in the cooler temperatures. This is the weather I wanted for my marathon two weeks ago!
Sunday, November 9: 3 miles (treadmill)
Easy 3 mile recovery run.
Monday, November 10: 8 miles (treadmill)
My left hip is clearly not happy. I was able to get through my run today, but my hip felt super sore and achy afterwards and interfered with my sleep when I moved at night.
Tuesday, November 11: OFF
Wednesday, November 12: 6 miles (road)
Since Bobby changed our workout last week due to the rain, we ended up doing the original planned workout from last week tonight - vintage Marshes! What Rogue doesn't love this one? I started early again, although I know that Bobby wasn't happy about that. This was the first true cold weather run that we have had, so it was time to break out the gloves. I felt fairly strong and enjoyed the workout.
Thursday, November 13: 5 miles (treadmill)
Friday, November 14: OFF
Week 2 Total: 32 miles
