Where in the world are K & m?
Well, last time this blog found us in Zurich many, many months ago. (And, of course, a lot has happened since then, but maybe I'll get to that another time.) For now, I'm happy to say that we are back in Europe visiting our 6th European country of the year...Spain. We arrived in Barcelona this afternoon after an overnight flight from Dallas and a layover in London. In the spirit of Thanksgiving, I am so very thankful for all of the travel and adventure that we have been fortunate to share this year. So, how exactly did we find ourselves in Spain for Thanksgiving? Short answer is that I've been working my tail off for the past couple of months (which has been a mixed blessing in a lot of ways when you work for yourself) and I needed to reset, which is so very important in the work that I do to avoid burnout. I also wanted to cash in on what exactly I am working for and travel is a big part of that. So, I told K that we needed to plan another trip, and Thanksgiving seemed like a good time for me to take some extended time off based on my client's general vacation schedules too, as well as to maximize K's vacation days since we are already plotting next year's trips and allocating vacation days accordingly. And, well, here we are for the next week....stay tuned.
